Electromagnetic waves (Radio waves) play crucial role in modern day communication including satellite communication. Satellites can cover entire globe and satellite communication is particularly useful for sparsely populated areas such as island countries in the South Pacific Region. The natural hazards, to which South Pacific Regions is vulnerable, are monitored and predictions are made using radio waves. The frequency of Natural Hazards has drastically increased during past few decades on which climate change is supposed to have played its role.
