Politics has been a central part of the lives and passions of humanity since the beginning of time. PL100 introduces students to the study of Politics and International Affairs. The content of the course is comprised of several broad topics which are designed to give students the basic elements from which to understand the complex world of Politics and International Affairs. Students who major in Politics and International Affairs will have the opportunity to develop these topics and other related themes and concepts at 200 and 300 level, as well as post-graduate level. While the course introduces broad concepts and theories of politics, it also encourages students to apply these ideas to the political realities as they occur in their global and local (Pacific) context.
